About Us

I (Mark) loved taking pictures since I was a kid (which was a long time ago at this point). I grew up with dogs, so of course they became my first models.

Time passed, I met my wonderful wife (Michelle), and my photography passion grew. And we honeymooned in – you guessed it —  Chincoteague, Virginia!

It was when we decided to vacation in Hawaii in 2004 that sparked the purchase of my first “real” digital camera. Hawaii was beautiful, and I’m so thankful we got to enjoy paradise! It was these photos from Hawaii that became part of my first photo exposition.

My skills and passion continued to grow, and my family, friends and pets (including fish) became my new models. I also fell in love with macro, flower, and nature shooting. And experimenting with photo editing gave me the chance to produce some unique photo projects.

My wife and I returned to Chincoteague several times over the years, and we realized just how much we loved it!  Years later, we now visit with our son as often as possible!

In 2019, thanks to some peer pressure from some photography friends, I entered the Maryland State Fair photography contest. To my shock, I won 3 awards (Candid Portrait, Pet, and Action categories) out of 5 entries! 

And in 2021, I won 3 more awards (B&W Landscape, Color Bugs, and B&W Animals)!

I continue to learn and grow with my photography skills. I look forward to meeting new people and creating memories!
